Educational Leaders and Blogs

Blogs can be extremely useful in the world of education.  According to the Dana textbook, school administrators have very little time to interact with one another.  As a teacher, I learned some of my most valuable lessons from talking with other teachers.  Teachers share their knowledge, experience and advice that they had gained over time.  Administrators would benefit greatly from sharing with one another if they had the proper time and environment to do so.  Blogs allow administrators to share ideas and provide feedback without ever having to leave their school or home.  Blogs are also a good tool for administrators to keep up with educational trends.  They can see what programs or teaching styles are working in other school similar to their own.

  1. I agree with you completely. I have also learned some of the most helpful solutions to problems from other teachers. Administrators have very little time for collaboration with peers. Blogs are the perfect tool to facilitate peer interaction for administrators.
